Parents and families,
We have been working hard in third grade! Between writing our magnet scripts, signing our Haitian schools, and practicing our constructed responses, our students are charging full speed ahead!
Really, I am so proud of the hard work they have been putting in to each subject area and, as always, I am so impressed by their creativity.
Yesterday, we began sorting out all of the Legos we have received. So far, we have collected 50 pounds of Legos! That is enough for one entire school! I am so proud of our kids and how they are showing compassion! Read from one of our students what this project means to her:
"We are happy to send Legos to Haiti because we wanted to be nice to the kids in Haiti. We saw a video of boys sending Legos to Africa so we wanted to send some Legos too. We want them to be able to learn, so we want to send them Legos so they can build things. This will help them learn. I love this project because we get to work together to send the Legos to Lego Haiti."
