Parents/Guardians,
Testing is over. YAY! Everything went well; the students worked hard and tried their best. I wanted to take a moment and thank all of you for making this testing successful. Everyone was here each day on time, ate a nutritious breakfast, and slept well.
The students were surprised this afternoon when they figured out they were getting pizza and juice. Thank you to those parents who helped make this happen. They were so happy and appreciative. :)
The last few weeks of school we will be completing various projects. Right now we are working with Ms. Melson's class to create a sculpture out of recycled goods. These will be displayed at PSE's Arts Integration Night taking place on 5/5/16 at 6:00 PM. We are still collecting recycled goods, so send those items in with your child.
Another art project we will be starting soon is the River of Freedom. Students will be given a tile to decorate and represent Frederick Douglass. For this project, we are in NEED of colored sharpies. Please provide your child with a pack of colored sharpies by 4/27/16.
Here's the scoop on what we're doing in class this week:
*Recycled Art project
*Reviewing rounding, two-step word problems, and fractions
*Quilling geometry shapes
*Recreating the ending of The Adventure of Beekle in narrative form.
If you have any questions, please contact me. Thanks for the support.
Sincerely,
Ms. Metzger
